KEWARD STRIKES AGAIN!!

Well it's been a while since i have been even bothered checking out the goings on of our sister site where2sing.com but after seeing this little gem came through

5.    Shock horror! The pirates Lyn Kirk and Steve Cartright want to sue the copyright holder

I think it was a year or two ago that a self-styled singing teacher in Sydney, and one apparently already well known to make pirated discs for her students, along with her web-designer friend Steve Cartwright decided to pirate the W2S gig database for her own website. Lyn Kirk was not fazed by being publicly 'named and shamed' for this.

Perhaps they have found that it's not so easy to keep their gig list acurate as it was to originally just pirate it from W2S, but it seems that they now have dillusions that the list on their site was their own hard work. It's a common misconception that producing and upkeeping a useful gig list is as simple as copying the original W2S list - actually, the work is in how the database keeps up the listings behind the scenes, and Lyn Kirk's outdated list soon became worthless.

But a couple of years have passed, and now the pirate has got greedy and bold - and wants to stop being named and shamed as a parasite:

'David Kenward
Remove slanderous remarks from your sites of both myself Lyn kirk of singing.com.au and Steve cartwright immediately or expect legalities. Also include a retraction statement on your sites and public apology to both Steve Cartwright and myself. Refusal will result in appropriate departments being notified and action taken.
Lyn Kirk
www.singing.com.au'
(the people and website that pirated the W2S gig listings)

Far from being bullied into letting these pirates go scott free, W2S would love to be the recipient of legal action by a pirate suing the copyright owner...lol. What a dream to have the pirate picking up all the legal fees to be exposed as a pirate in court!

I found this a bit rich coming from a person, who has no scruples himself about using copyright material to suit his own ends! Click http://www.where2sings.com/kenwardexposed.htm
